Privacy policy

RecrOOtr ("we", "us", "our") operates the resume scorecard service at www.recrootr.co. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

When you use RecrOOtr, we collect the following information:

• Resume text - the content of the resume you upload or paste
• Target role - the job title or role description you enter
• Job description - if you choose to paste one for matching analysis
• Payment information - processed securely by Stripe (we never see or store your card number)
• Email address - collected by Stripe as part of the checkout process

How we use your data

Your resume text, target role, and job description are sent to the Anthropic Claude API to generate your personalized scorecard. This is the core function of the service. We use your email address only to deliver your purchase receipt via Stripe.

Data storage and retention

RecrOOtr does not operate a database. Your resume text is temporarily stored in Stripe checkout session metadata to process your scorecard, and is not retained after your report is generated. Stripe retains payment records (including your email and transaction details) in accordance with Stripe's privacy policy.

Your scorecard is delivered directly to your browser. We do not store a copy of your completed scorecard.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to deliver the product:

• Stripe - payment processing. Stripe collects and processes your payment details under their own privacy policy.
• Anthropic (Claude API) - AI analysis. Your resume text is sent to Anthropic's API to generate your scorecard. Anthropic's API usage policy governs how they handle this data.
• Vercel - hosting. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) may be collected.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data to anyone
• We don't share your resume with recruiters, employers, or any third parties beyond those listed above
• We don't use your resume to train AI models
• We don't require you to create an account
• We don't use tracking cookies or advertising pixels
• We don't send marketing emails (we don't have a mailing list)

Your rights

You can request deletion of any data associated with your purchase by emailing us. Since we don't maintain a database of resumes, in most cases there is nothing to delete on our end beyond what Stripe retains for payment records.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
